DJ Biogen Posts Higher 4Q Earnings >BIIB

Biogen Inc. (BIIB) reported higher earnings in the latest quarter, beating analysts' expectations.
The Cambridge, Mass., biopharmaceutical company on Thursday said its fourth-quarter earnings were $1.44 billion, or $8.08 a share, compared with $947 million, or $4.73 a share a year earlier.
Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $8.34 a share. Analysts polled by FactSet were expecting adjusted earnings of $8.02 a share.
Total revenue was $3.67 billion, up from $3.53 billion a year earlier. Analysts were expecting revenue of $3.54 billion.
