BBX Minerals (BBX) has commenced its latest auger drill run at the Ema project in Brazil following its receipt of assay results obtained from 26 drill holes.
14 high-priority targets within the Ema and Ema East leases were identified, showing enriched horizons for rare earth mineralisation.
BBX is currently operating with two auger drilling crews, and a third crew is expected to join within a week.
The drilling efforts are focused on a target area of interest called plateau nine, with drill holes placed at intervals of 200 metres.
This drill run program aims to identify and delineate high-grade REE zones within the nearly 200 square kilometre area, potentially containing rare earth mineralisation in clays.
The objective of the ongoing exploration program is to gather sufficient data to support the estimation of a potential inferred mineral resource estimate (MRE) by the end of 2023.
Samples from the initial 13 auger holes were delivered to SGS on July 7, with results expected within six weeks.
BBX has signed a contract with CETEM in Brazil for initial ionic-clay metallurgical testing on the Ema REE mineralisation.
BBX Minerals is continuing its exploration efforts at Ema and will continue to provide updates on its progress as it works towards achieving its exploration objectives.
Update: BBX was down -1.92 per cent at 12:30 pm AEST, trading at 5.1 cents.
