WeWork's strategy to withhold rent payments is seen as a tactic to force negotiations with landlords. However, many landlords are refusing to agree to lease amendments, making the cost-cutting strategy less successful.
Neumann's potential comeback at WeWork sparks doubts about his capability to revamp the firm. Despite his knack for 'selling the sizzle', his ability to 'sell the steak' and boost business returns is questioned. Third Point's involvement in a possible WeWork deal aligns with a growth/venture profile.
Happy Thanksgiving. I apologize if this is not an appropriate query here. My main vocation is buying real estate and real estate debt from individuals at large discounts when sellers are distressed. Is there a way to buy the debt of distressed companies at large discounts by ourselves as well? For example, would I be able to buy WeWork debt at prices I dictate, not what a brokerage tries to sell it off for, i.e., for pennies on the dollar? Or a...
David Trainer warns about high valuations for non-profit companies like WeWork, and suggests selling stocks of unprofitable companies. Cole Smead sees WeWork's fall as a peak of US market euphoria.
And.... It's gone. Doubtfully, I will say a squeeze is possible. But you can see the pattern. More and more dilution. The price of AMC has even rejected the previous all-time lows printed during the pandemic. Everything still looks very bad for AMC Please stop losing money apes. Just swing trade this thing. FANCY PANTS :
Unfortunately they've all drank the Kool Aid and won't ever give up on this one. No point in trying to convince them at this point, thus I just mock here, versus Mullen where I've turned to trying to educate them (which was a stubborn, but successful venture)
FANCY PANTS72919001:
I am Fancy Pants. Mullen was a company that looks good on the surface, but once you peel back the layers you realize it's just a big turd. Too many people didn't do their research on it and lost big. Thus I turned to educating them on why it's such a terrible investment.

dont know mullen more than talk and promisses vs improvment and profits so these 2 companies r non comparatibles... so i dont get your point... besides that u work for the big money equals pointless argument
The failed WeWork IPO and the shift towards remote work questioned the management's capability. Their flawed business model, long-term lease against short-term rentals posed key challenges. Analysts suggested caution towards Joann, The Container Store, and Big Lots due to financial and operational hurdles.
The co-working model as it stands does not appear to be thriving in the current post-pandemic environment and may need to seek out new strategies, such as partnerships with landlords, to regain momentum.
