Autos Broadly Pumped; GREATWALL, GEELY Up Almost 6%-8%
Automakers bounced back broadly today against the market limbo, after retreat yesterday. GEELY AUTO (00175.HK) recovered 7.9% to $22.6, being the strongest blue chip. It had earlier fallen to $20.55 this morning as it will be deleted from the FTSE China 50 Index effective 21 June.
Its fellow GREATWALL MOTOR (02333.HK) was the best performer by ticking up 6.4% to $23.25 with estimated annual production of 80,000 cars at the Thai factory.
DONGFENG GROUP (00489.HK), BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) and EVERG VEHICLE (00708.HK) resumed 1.6%-3.5%.
