Peng Cheng, head of big data and artificial intelligence strategy at J.P. Morgan Chase Research Division, has left his job. Previously, he worked at this bank for almost 14 years.
People familiar with the matter, who declined to be named due to undisclosed information, said Cheng recently stepped down as managing director of the company. Prior to his departure, Cheng's team was responsible for building alternative data and advanced statistical tools to develop cross-asset strategies.
He did not respond to text messages seeking comment. A J.P. Morgan Chase spokesperson declined to comment.
Cheng joined J.P. Morgan Chase in 2010 as a stock derivatives strategist. According to his LinkedIn profile, he previously worked for Lehman Brothers and Barclays.
