Lithium Americas Corp. (TSE:LAC) has released an update.
Lithium Americas Corp. has made significant strides in Q1 2024, completing site preparations for major construction at the Thacker Pass project, expected to start in the latter half of the year. The company secured a $2.26 billion loan from the U.S. Department of Energy to fund the construction, targeting 40,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate production annually. They also updated the projected capital costs for Phase 1 to $2.93 billion, reflecting detailed engineering progress and revised labor and equipment estimates.
