ASUS has released their latest Radeon RX 7900 XTX & Radeon RX 7900 XT Dual OC GPUs, featuring the iconic "DUAL" series design, which resembles the design scheme we saw on the previous AMD Radeon RX 6000 series cards from the manufacturer.

Let's quickly recap what the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX and the Radeon RX 7900 XT GPUs offer. The highest-end Radeon RX 7900 XTX features 24 GB GDDR6 memory, while the XT counterpart comes with 20 GB GDDR6 VRAM. However, the more interesting fact here is that the Radeon RX 7900 XTX comes with a 355 W TDP, and the XT model features 300 W power consumption. This shows that both are power-hungry GPUs and one might think that dual-fans won't cut it out for them however that's not the case with ASUS's Dual variants.

The ASUS DUAL OC Radeon RX 7900 XTX & Radeon RX 7900 XT models come with slightly bumped-up clock speeds since they are the OC variants (2615 MHz XTX / 2535 MHz XT). Hence, you can expect decent performance from them. You can switch the clock speeds to OC mode or Default mode using the Dual BIOS switch on the back of the card.

ASUS 7900 XTX Dual OC GPU:

  • OC mode: up to 2615 MHz (Boost Clock)/up to 2455 MHz (Game Clock)
  • Default mode: up to 2525 MHz (Boost Clock)/up to 2330 MHz (Game Clock)

ASUS 7900 XT Dual OC GPU:

  • OC mode: up to 2535 MHz (Boost Clock)/up to 2175 MHz (Game Clock)
  • Default mode: up to 2450 MHz (Boost Clock)/up to 2075 MHz (Game Clock)

Now the bigger question is whether these high-end GPUs will be able to withstand the thermals due to their dual-fan designs but these are larger axial-tech fans that can push a lot of air to the heatsink below it. The heatsink itself is a massive aluminum fin block that extends beyond the PCB. The PCB is a custom design featuring triple 8-pin connectors. The card also comes with a protective backplate and a stainless steel bracket. Both cards are 2.95 slots wide and measure 323 x 147 x 58 mm.

In terms of pricing, ASUS hasn't shared the official price of its new DUAL variants yet, but we expect them to be a slight premium over the MSRPs.
