Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nishi-ku, Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa-ken; President: Makoto Uchida) announced on the 24th that it will adopt a new connected service “NissanConnect,” which provides an even more seamless and personalized experience by linking with various services that manage cars and installing Google built-in functions, as a minor change model of “Qashqai” for Europe.

Next-generation NissanConnect is easier to use and more reliable
Convenient functions such as destination settings and remote air conditioning from the app can be shared and managed with family IDs. Furthermore, the new display's UI design enables intuitive operation and information recognition, reduces stress during driving, and provides an environment where you can concentrate on driving.
Functions that support the customer's car life with peace of mind have also been enhanced. If you forget to close the window or if the door is opened while away from the car, the app's push notification will let you know the vehicle status. Even when managing cars for maintenance, etc., you can use the app smoothly, consistently, from notifications of parts replacement to storage reservations.
Furthermore, for customers riding EVs, we propose economical charging times that take into account battery level and off-peak power.
The functions that allow you to operate the vehicle from the app have increased by about 2 times from the conventional “Nissan Connect”, and with more personalized functions, the car becomes like a reliable partner, making the lifestyle inside and outside the car seamless and comfortable.

Equipped with Google built-in features
Through our partnership with Google, it will be possible for customers to easily use the apps they use everyday on their smartphones even in the car. In-vehicle navigation is compatible with Google Maps, so if you sign in with your Google account, you can access your favorite places and points of interest from the navigation, and similar to smartphone apps, map information is always up to date.
If you use Google Assistant, you can voice control things such as air conditioning adjustments and navigation settings with more natural language.
Since apps that can be downloaded on Google Play* can be accessed, not only can you listen to your favorite music, podcasts, audiobooks, etc. in the car, but you can also use a wide range of apps such as news, videos, and weather from the car.

New experiences that are constantly being updated
The communication function installed in the vehicle supports the evolution of more personalized functions and the addition of new services even after the vehicle is purchased.
Managing Executive Officer Ito Yukio, who is in charge of global customer experience and connected car services, said, “Nissan's connected service has been working as a pioneer in maximizing the value of cars for about 20 years or more since the start of telematics services. Through a user-centered approach and proposals for new lifestyles, we will pursue further connections with customers' lives in various situations not limited to time spent in a car, and accelerate the provision of services that enrich the everyday lives of customers.” I said that.

Nissan adopted this service for the North American “Rogue,” which underwent minor changes in January 2024, and for minor changes to the “Qashqai” for Europe announced on 4/17, and will continue to expand adoption in a wide range of models, starting with large SUVs and EVs.
