HDFC Bank has been penalized Rs.0.76 crore by the GST Officer in Delhi, relating to disallowed input tax credit for the fiscal year 2018-19. The total financial impact, including tax, interest, and penalty, is estimated at Rs.15.42 crore. The bank is currently considering legal options, including the possibility of an appeal.
