Shares of Walmart Inc. (NYSE:WMT) rose in today's session after the company reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter financial results.

Walmart reported fourth-quarter FY24 net sales growth of 5.7% year-over-year to $173.39 billion, beating the consensus of $170.71 billion. Adjusted EPS was $1.80, beating the consensus of $1.65.

- Discover Financial Services (NYSE:DFS) shares climbed 12% to $13.00. Capital One Financial Corp (NYSE:COF) announced its plans to purchase Discover Financial Services, marking a pivotal $35.3 billion all-stock transaction.
- Barclays PLC (NYSE:BCS) gained 11.7% to $8.35 after the company reported fourth-quarter financial results and announced its intention to initiate a further share buyback of up to £1 billion.
- Korea Electric Power Corporation (NYSE:KEP) rose 10.7% to $8.74
- Qurate Retail, Inc. (NASDAQ:QRTEA) surged 10.6% to $1.15.
- InterContinental Hotels Group PLC (NYSE:IHG) gained 8.3% to $105.83.
