Augustus Minerals (ASX:AUG) has unveiled its exploration plans for the new year at its Ti-Tree project in Western Australia.

The company has reported that it will focus on reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling (DD), geophysical assessments, and soil sampling in the Ti-Tree and Minga Bar fault structures.

“In 2024 we intend to expand upon what we have learned in 2023 delivering great exploration results as we begin to follow up recent results including the copper complex at Minnie Springs while working at the same time to explore for new prospects in unexplored territory,” AUG Managing Director Andrew Reid said.

Plans for 2024

In 2023, exploratory drilling at Minnie Springs covered 50 per cent of the copper-gold anomaly. The company plans to prioritise drilling the remaining portion in 2024.

RC drilling at other Ti-Tree project targets will also be a primary tool for exploration, offering the potential for new discoveries in previously under-explored areas.

In Q2 2024, DD at Minnie Springs will target higher-grade copper and molybdenum sulphides in the porphyry complex.

The 2023 drilling identified indicators of the phyllic altered zone, necessitating deeper drilling into the potassic zone for higher-grade sulphides.

The soil sampling program aims to expand geochemical coverage in areas lacking soil data along Ti-Tree shear and Minga Bar fault.

his includes extensions north and south of Minnie Springs targeting the Minga Bar fault structure, investigating base metals along the Moogooree trend, and exploring a new area named six-mile with visible copper oxides.

Approximately 5000 samples are planned for collection, starting in Q1.

AUG last traded at 14.5 cents.
