Tiger Brokers Singapore names new chief executive
TIGER Brokers (Singapore) has appointed Ian Leong as its new chief executive, effective Sep 28. He replaces Eng Thiam Choon, who stepped down in June this year, the brokerage said on Wednesday (Oct 11).
Leong, who has 13 years of financial industry experience, was most recently the chief executive of uSMART Singapore – an online brokerage. He was also Tiger Broker’s business development director of retail between April 2020 and September 2021.
He also worked stints at Lim & Tan Securities, leading the trading representatives and client services team, and Phillip Securities (Singapore), where he was the head of dealing for POEMS.
