Koala Financial Group (08226) reported interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2023, with earnings of about HK $13.582 million, up 4.6% from a year earlier. Profits attributable to company owners were HK $6.911 million, compared with a loss of HK $23.12 million for shareholders in the same period last year. Profit per share is HK1.66 cents.
It is reported that the increase in turnover is mainly due to the increase in segment income of the money lending business.
