Augustus Minerals (AUG) has locked in dates to begin an Aboriginal heritage survey over key drilling prospects in August.
The heritage survey is with the largest Traditional Owners combined group, comprising Yinggarda, Baiyungu and Thalanyji, which represents around 70 per cent of the tenement package.
The survey covers drill targets for copper, rare earths and lithium.
Augustus reported it intends to immediately begin drilling once it has received approval for its Crawford Bore, Nicks Bore, Copper Ridge and Minnie Springs copper prospects.
Prospects for REE mineralisation include its Mac’s Well prospect and the Birthday Well for lithium.
AUG Managing Director Andrew Reid said the heritage survey marked the last milestone the company need to tick off.
“The prospects to be surveyed are the main target areas generated across the tenement package and will be sufficient to complete drilling activities for the remainder of the 2023 drill season,” he said.
The company announced it would conduct the survey during the second and third weeks of August, and begin drilling once final approvals are secured.
AUG shares were down 1.79 per cent, trading at 27.5 cents at 11:18 am AEST.
