Todd River Resources (TRT) has commenced fresh reverse circulation (RC) and aircore drilling at its Pingrup nickel-copper-platinum group element (PGE) project in Western Australia.
It follows a comprehensive moving loop electromagnetic (MLTEM) survey recently completed over the area that identified seven anomalies coincident with magnetic anomalism and interpreted mafic and ultramafic geology.
The company will now begin a “multi-phase” work program, which includes a number of reconnaissance aircore drill lines to better understand the geology and geochemistry of the intrusions in the area, followed by several RC drill holes targeting features identified from the MLTEM survey.
Todd River Managing Director Will Dix said the drilling program was an “exciting step” for the company.
“The first drilling program on a new project is always an exciting step for the company,” Mr Dix said.
“We are well-funded to carry out our exploration activities for 2023 and look forward to sharing the results of this program and future drilling campaigns with shareholders as soon as they are received.”
The company expects the initial drill program to take between two to three weeks to complete.
Meanwhile, Todd River also confirmed it recently completed sampling for heavy mineral analysis work around the Berkshire Valley project, with analysis expected to take several weeks.
Shares in TRT were trading 7.14 per cent higher at 1.5 cents at 12:51 pm AEDT.
