Helsinki, April 25 (Reuters) - Finland's Government Said on Thursday It Expects the Nordic Country's Economy to Return to Growth on an Annual Basis Only Next Year, as It Lowered Its Inflation and Economic Growth Forecasts for 2024 and 2025.
In Its Quarterly Economic Outlook, the Finance Ministry Said It Now Sees Unchanged Gross Domestic Product (GDP) This Year. Its Previous Forecast, From December Was for Growth of 0.7%. It Now Sees Growth in 2025 at 1.6%, Down From 2.0%.
It Lowered Its Consumer Price Index Forecast for This Year to 1.9% From 2.0%, and for Next Year to 1.4% to 1.3%.
"the Recession Has Been Longer and Deeper Than Previously Estimated. However, the Economic Situation Begins to Improve During This Year, Even IF Finland's Economy Is Not Growing on an Annual Basis This Year," the Ministry Said.
Last Year the Economy Contracted by 1.0%.

同省は、「不況はこれまでよりも長く深刻であったが、今年中に経済情勢は改善される。ただし、年間ベースでの経済成長が今年は見込めない」と述べました。
昨年、経済は1.0%縮小しました。
