China's General Administration of Market Supervision announced that in order to further improve the Internet advertising regulatory system, enhance the scientific nature and effectiveness of Internet advertising supervision, and promote the sustained and healthy development of the Internet advertising industry, on the basis of revising the interim measures for the Administration of Internet Advertising, the measures for the Administration of Internet Advertising (draft for Public solicitation of opinions) have been drafted. It is mentioned that off-campus training advertisements for primary and secondary schools and kindergartens are not allowed to be published on the Internet.

Internet media such as websites, web pages and Internet applications aimed at minors shall not be used to publish advertisements for medical treatment, medicine, health food, medical devices, cosmetics, alcohol, beauty and online games that are not conducive to the physical and mental health of minors.

In addition, Internet advertising should be identifiable to enable consumers to identify it as advertising. If goods or services are promoted through the Internet media in the form of competitive ranking, news reports, experience sharing, consumption evaluation, or other forms with additional shopping links, "advertising" shall be marked prominently.

Internet advertisements published in the form of start-up broadcast, video insertion, pop-up, etc., shall be prominently marked with a closing sign to ensure that it is closed with one button, there must be no closing sign or the countdown is required to close, the closing sign is false, cannot be clearly identified or located, and so on. Users shall not be induced to click on the advertisement in a deceptive or misleading manner.
