HSI Once Dives Over 450 Pts; Tencent/ Baba/ Meituan/ CG Ser Slip Over 3-9%; HSBC Up 4%

HSI last posted at 25,991, down 200 pts or 0.8%, on turnover of $105.4 billion. In early session, the index once peaked at 26,323, underpinned by financials and utilities. Yet with selling orders reemerged afterwards, HSI once slumped up to 455 pts to bottom at 25,737.

Beset by China's soured scrutiny, BABA-SW (09988.HK) and TENCENT (00700.HK) plummeted 3.5% and 4.3% to $185.4 and $468.8. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) slid 7.5% to $218.2. CG SERVICES (06098.HK) tumbled 9.3% to $54.

Blue chips picked up broadly. Among financials, HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK) fared the best by picking up 4.1% to $44.1.
