Singapore shares edge lower under pandemic worries

Singapore's $FTSE Singapore Straits Time Index(.STI.SG)$ gives up earlier gains and is now down 0.1% at 3156.39. 

Trading in Asian markets are expected to remain muted today as multiple countries in the region are battling recent surges in the pandemic, IG says. 

Declines are led by $Keppel Corp(BN4.SG)$ Corp., down 0.9%. $UOL(U14.SG)$ falls 0.5%, while $Singtel(Z74.SG)$ drops 0.4%. Gainers include airline-servicing company $SATS(S58.SG)$, which adds 0.8%, while $YZJ Shipbldg SGD(BS6.SG)$ advances 0.7%. (yiwei.wong@wsj.com)
