Singapore's $FTSE Singapore Straits Time Index(.STI.SG)$ rises 0.3% to 3119.00, tracking gains on Wall Street.

A recovery in U.S. Treasury yields also indicates that the economic outlook should brighten despite the health condition, IG says.

Investors are likely to focus on the corporate earnings season, it adds.

$YZJ Shipbldg SGD(BS6.SG)$ leads gains, up 1.5%, while index heavyweight $DBS(D05.SG)$ advances 1.0%. $SGX(S68.SG)$ is 0.8% higher. Declines are led by $HongkongLand USD(H78.SG)$, down 0.9%. (yiwei.wong@wsj.com)
