YOHO3318 : Banks are often considered bellwethers of the economy. It's no wonder that the performance of large institutions like JPM and Well Fargo are closely watched as their financial performance can signal the state of both consumer confidence and corporate activities.
While it is good news that these big banks reported solid performance surpassing the analysts' expectations, which reflects the economic strength, JPM also increased its credit provisions significantly and  provides a cautious outlook on lending growth. My view is that although recent economic data does not point to a hard landing, the risk on economy slowdown remains particularly as the FED navigates the balance between controlling inflation and avoiding a recession.

YOHO3318 : Energy sector will still be very much relevant for the next decade. Instead, with the increasing use of AI and the booming of data centre, energy power will still be much in need. Although fossil fuel will still be the main source of energy, there will be increasing focus in peoducing clean and renewable energy. If Kamala Harris win the presidential election, clean energy related stocks will be benefited.
