XiaoLerLer : Fri night assuming u r in Asia. it dropped to 69+ b4 bounced back to 79/80.  It is too early to call a bounce back.

XiaoLerLer 火炎焱 OP : mkt doesn't work rationally, silver can be replaced by copper and other metal too in some uses.  Gold, on the other hand, is the longest known currency.

Let me tell u, those theories only worked on the way up to make u buy...they r out of the window now.

XiaoLerLer Time to buy Cattle : I didn't reply u coz as of Saturday morning, post market rebounded slightly, plus I hope for the better for those (incl u) who held on.  I bought at $48 maybe 2 mrhs back, it fell right after along with my gold.  I stayed coz I was newbie to silver.  Finally, I sold last Friday @$72 coz of these reasons
1 @$72, it was still almost triple the 52 week low of $26.  This fall already wiped out 60% of my profit.  I should be contented with the remaining 40%.
2 Regardless of whatever reasons analysts said, they cannot defy market forces.  It also played into your reason of shortage of silver, same reason which I bought initially, the reason cannot defy market forces.
3 In the CNA news on Thu night, Indians were massively panic selling their physical silver because of some reason that I forgot.
4 LKY once replied to Deng Xiaoping's question that Americans have a Pandora box that no one can replicate. They made things happen.  Then, I remembered how quickly they convert manufacturing lines to massively produce ECMO machines during Covid.  Then, vaccines were "invented."  I guess that's the "Pandora box"?  More recently, there is rare earth shortage, but that too was somehow on the way to resolve with the whole world stepping in. So on hindsight, I believe shortage in silver for AI boom is just another exaggeration designed to make us buy metals.  Industries may not take as long as 15 yrs to replace silver. It may be much faster.  Always take analysts' technical knowledge with a pinch of salt.  Just like us, they do not know except for their access to hearsays from a few companies using silver.
5 last time it fell like that was 1979-1980s for silver and it stayed sideway for 45 yrs.  The current level was not even last month's level. Has it bottomed out yet?  I can afford to win less but I don't hv 45 yrs if it's going to take so long to recover.
My thought process is too long for 1 investment that I do not hv time for my stocks, crypto and gold.  Now, I believe many people are liquidating other investments to top up their silver margin calls, I am having to manage the paper losses for these other investments.
Anyway, wish u luck for your belief that silver cannot be replaced, I partially agree now but that's not enough to defy the market sentiment.  And I wished that silver price rebound for the good of everyone who is stuck at higher prices and for all our other investments.  Disclaimer, I am not a pro-investor.  My logic usually doesn't work for me too.

XiaoLerLer : stay out. Last month, I sold some at 57 accidentally.  Right now, it hasn't even reached last month's price.  I hv liquidated the rest at 72 after my profit dropped 60% from the high.
