My guess is that S&P 500 Index will still be bullish this week. Reason being that its spread of stocks is wide ranging from technology stocks to consumer stocks. A decline in one sector will be offset by gains in another sector.

The European Central Bank decided to make monitary policy more restrictive by increasing interest rates and the deposit rate.
This is during a time of sky high energy prices and an economy on the brink of recession. These restrictive policies will add more pressure to the different economies that make up the Euro zone. There are already analysts calling for a recession after this policy decision.

Last Friday, the volatility index hit the lowest level since Jan 2020, that’s more than 3.5 years ago. Interestingly, the index popped to 85 within 2 months back then. But that was because of the Covid crash. It’s quite unlikely that will happen this time.
