Sweee : holding some soxl shares at 20plus average  cost, avg down since my first entry at 40. overall profitable on soxl, as i consistently avg down  via selling puts. currently on short strangle covering the upside risk and my put strike at 15 bucks, so dun really care where it goes, so long i continue to collect good premiums

Sweee : 1. sell puts collect premium n collect shares
2. continue step 1 until u acquired some shares
3. sell puts at below avg cost to average down ur shares price, sell a covered call against ur shares above ur average cost. market go down u acquire more shares to avg down while keeping premium from both call n puts. market goes up yr shares get sold off preferably at small profit.
4. repeat step 1

Sweee OP AA我爱投资 : i try to avoid holding these leveraged etf as they r built for day trading, holding them long term can have detrimental effect due to volatility decay. Primarily i used them only for options trading due to their high iv, cheap cost to hold short term. If ur planning to buy n hold or do swing trading suggest to do on the actual ticker nvda

Sweee OP Keiith : I dont buy, i simply trade options on them. To me v simple, volatility high i will sell options esp when underlying is falling, that way i have delta theta n vega working in my favor, theta (time decay) is constant, vega (volatility) wil always reverse to the mean after spike, delta if u played the price action correctly (example selling put below intrinsic value) will also reserve to the mean.

Sweee OP : i do timing for option trading mainly for these highly volatile stocks, for slow moving vehicle like spy n blue chips i simply put on a 45 dte put credit spread rinse n repeat. My stocks i jus held on to them n nv sell at all. Semi con is quite volatile so i suggest u read up on important companies like asml n tsmc, then subsequently the chip designer nvidia amd broadcom, build ur understanding n conviction first. U need patience to slowly build up a positions n conviction to hold onto the stocks during storms

Sweee : as usual i will sell covered calls, what u pointed out is highly probable as it has played out for past 2 quarters. Might as well earn some $ on the way down.

Sweee : yea i meant it to be mini hedge , not a full one. i don't mind owning nvidia for long term. Been trading on nvdl since nvidia is trading side way last year, if it shot up my long term holding via nvda is intended to catch the wave. if this coming earning my nvda is unluckily called awy so be it, i will take it as i am cashing out for over 100% gains, but it would seem v unlikely, all the growth expectations have already been built in.
