$Bitcoin(BTC.CC)$ $Coinbase(COIN.US)$ In a letter to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Tuesday, Coinbase urged the agency to approve NYSE Arca’s application to convert the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust into an exchange-traded fund (ETF).
“We believe investors should have access to GBTC in an ETP [exchange-traded product] format because it offers a tried and tested way for retail investors to gain exposure to bitcoin at prices that closely reflect spot bitcoin trading prices without holding it themselves,” the letter said. Grayscale Investments is a digital asset management firm owned by Digital Currency Group, which also owns CoinDesk.
”ETPs reduce discrepancies between trading market prices and underlying asset values through continuous share redemptions and creations. What could do more to advance both the public interest and the Commission’s mission to protect investors?” Grewal added in a tweet.

$Tesla(TSLA.US)$ Elon Musk further sold Tesla shares, according to an SEC filing. Musk exercised 2151,940 options at a price of $6.24 on December 16, while selling 934,091 Shares of Tesla stock at a valuation of $884 million.
Musk has sold about 1,290,512 Shares of Tesla since November 8, representing 75.66% of his previously committed shares.
Musk currently owns 17,3488,372 Shares of Tesla stock through his trust.

Bitcoin
Recently, bitcoin price started an upside correction above the $47,000 level. BTC climbed above the $48,000 resistance level and the 21 simple moving average (H1).
However, the price faced a strong resistance near the $48,400 and $48,650 levels. The price is slowly moving lower and trading below $48,000. There is also a rising channel forming with support near $46,800 on the hourly chart.

A downside break below the channel support could push the price further lower below $46,000. The next major support sits at $45,000, below which there is a risk of a larger decline.

Ether (ETH) $Ethereum(ETH.CC)$
Ether also started an upside correction above the $3,750 resistance zone. The price even broke the $3,800 level and the 21 simple moving average (H1). However, the price failed to gain strength for a move towards the $4,000 level.
It failed surpass the $3,900 level and started a fresh decline. The price is trading below $3,800. There is also a rising channel forming with support near $3,780 on the hourly chart.
$Ethereum(ETH.CC)$
A downside break below the channel support could push the price further lower below $3,700. The next major support sits at $3,620, below which there is a risk of a move towards $3,500.
