puddy1 : Does 13F include short positions or options? If it reports only long positions, how can one have a more complete picture of the market view?
How do institutional investors decide which positions to disclose in their filing? And how do changes in the market (eg interest rates etc) affect the strategies disclosed in the filing?

puddy1 : strong retail earning would hint consumers are still spending and suggest that economy is still resilient. Healthy profit margins would suggest retailers are managing cost despite inflationary pressure.. hopefully there is positive report from the earning reports.
