Phervil JohnKam OP : all that only applies if its a solid company, not a company based on speculation that has created a bubble bigger than themselves in order to meet the spectations palantir has to increase their earnings by x7-x10 currently or increase their earnings by x2-x3 for the next 5 years. None of them seems realistic thats why a lot of investors left this ship even after a “good revenue”. Anyways, fanboys will always be fanboys, based on speculations and feelings rather than facts.

Phervil : general advice, dont go into options if you are newbie. analize before putting your money into random companies and do not take as facts what a random youtuber/tiktoker or comment says about a stock, like “its gonna pump it up or go down, etc” take advices about how things works then you can learn on your own. in this bull market even a monkey could profit however; thats also another problem, when people get overconfident and start taking unnecessary risks, a lot of people lost everything thinking that way. finally, i dont know what kind of investor you wanna be, if long term or a shorter but if you go for long term consider a ETF and usually go for the most solids companies, if you go short term dont be too greedy with weak companies.
