2021 has been a crazy year. New to investing I have tried multiple different investing apps such as Stash, Acorns, Robinhood, Tornado, and now moo moo. Very new to moomoo maybe a month if that but I really enjoy this app as it has way more useful information than any of the others I have mentioned. I started the year out picking up shares of a global company called Intelsat at .40 a share and buying more on the dips when I could with what little spare money I had. unluckily for me I didnt do enough research as if I did I would have noticed they were in the process of going through chapter 8 (?) bankruptcy and that they were planning to go back to a private company for a little while until they sorted through their bankruptcy mess. I didnt find out this useful information until one afternoon the stock suddenly dropped from .50 a share to .25 a share and I lost half the value of what I had invested inturn it made me feel very dejected and almost wanted to give up. That was when I found the world of the forex market. Which in the grand scheme of things I believe will be of great value to me once I truly learn to trade it. Back to the stock market though. I am much more educated than I was this time last year when I first started. knowing to give each potential investment it's due diligence before making a final decision whether to invest or not in any specific stock. I've learned not to trust signal sights and places like that as alot of the time the stocks they are recommending they already hold position in and that buy telling their followers to invest in it also will cause the price to go higher briefly whee they can cash out as they have been in it already allowing them to cash out at the peak before it corrects itself leaving the followers holding the bag of losses. For that reason I am super weary of those guys and again do my own research before making a final decision...where was it? is there really room to grow? Did I miss out or is it too late to get in? I look forward to continuing my journey this year and becoming a profitable trader. would really like to learn the art of options and plan to look into it as it seems super confusing just looking at it from the outside.
