There is no such thing as a Trump keeping a promise. He already has a plan to grift off of his followers. He could just transfer his stocks to his immediate family and they could turn around and sell the stocks on the market. This would be allowed under the lock-up agreement from March 2024, filed with the SEC. He wouldn't even have to inform the public about the transfer to his family.
The next couple of days will be interesting.
