The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has just released CPI data for April, reporting a 3.6% rise in the last 12 months.
This comes as a 0.1% increase from March, compared to economist predictions of a 0.1% drop (3.4%). April's data shows that consumer goods are still rising higher than expectations, which could endanger likelihood of RBA rate cut relief in the near future.
