First, almsgiving is a one-time act of kindness based on an individual's emotional response to someone in need, driven by mood and sentiment. On the other hand, disaster relief is a structured, procedural, and responsible public action aimed at enabling the entire affected population to survive, recover, and return to normal life. These two concepts are fundamentally different in nature. The former reflects personal emotions and psychological influences, while the latter represents a commitment to societal responsibilities that must be collectively shouldered. (Additionally, Ms. Bao does not engage in personal acts of charity. I do not invest emotional energy in individuals mainly because such actions are often influenced by self-centered factors. Many situations can be controlled by oneself and do not fundamentally require assistance from others; it all depends on whether the individual chooses to act or not.)On the contrary, Ms. Bao is patriotic and concerned about the people. In the face of unavoidable national-level disasters, I am willing to contribute generously within what I consider a reasonable scope to help the nation overcome this difficult period, let alone when calamities strike my fellow villagers in my hometown.)
