The US Federal Reserve initiated its easing cycle with 50 basis points rate cut last week. This week, Chinese markets joined the trend on Tuesday by cutting the rate by 50 basis points. This decision sparked a rally, with the $Hang Seng Index (800000.HK)$ and $SSE Composite Index (000001.SH)$ rising more than 4% in a single day. On the same day, the Reserve Bank of Australia left its cash rate unchanged at 4.35%. Howe...

Many people like to plan their getaways during long weekends due to public holidays but I’m the exception. I prefer to travel during off-peak periods as I dread long queues (like when crossing over to Johor), large crowds and the air fares and accommodation will be cheaper. What do I do then during long weekends?
I think it is important to take breaks to recharge our batteries but it doesn’t have to be away from home. Catching up on dramas and books while munching on healthy sn...

For many people, patriotism and love for the country should have been ingrained in their genes a long time ago, after all, a strong country leads to a peaceful community. We should strive for self-improvement! 💪
Singapore has always placed great emphasis on national education and patriotic education starting from childhood 💪. I am honored to live in such a country!
Every year during Singapore's National Day celebrations, we are happy to take the children to participate, whether it's the activities organized in our neighborhood community or the large-scale celebrations not far away. We are willing to buy tickets or try to win tickets for the large celebrations, and we generally don't miss out. Even though it's crowded and many games may not be playable, to be honest, the actual games don't matter. What's important is to show the children the scene, experience the atmosphere, and emphasize participation.
I have always believed that a sense of identity and belonging is important to everyone. Where do these feelings of identity and belonging come from? They come from civic lessons in school, the subtle influence of the environment, and the teaching and guidance of parents at home. These are important factors in building a child's sense of identity and belonging. Singapore has done a great job in this regard. In the fifth grade, every child is taken by the school to watch the National Day Parade rehearsal. Each school also provides uniforms. Look at the photos my child sent. This is the rehearsal of this year's National Day Parade. The audience seats are filled with rows and rows of students wearing red T-shirts and small white caps from different schools in the fifth grade! My child kept describing how wonderful the scene was and how lively the atmosphere was when he came back.

we queued more than 2 hours, from level 3 to level 4. its very crowded here. 🥹
seat down and listened about half hour, then we walked around and played games. 😁
collected goody bag, enjoyed ice cream from one of the booth. 😍 yummy ice cream 🍦
out of all goodies, my favourite one is the foldable recycle bag received from Scociete Generale. 👍
its quite fun! ❤️💗
