Welcome back to the fourth season of the U.S. Stock Paper Trading Competition held by moomoo! As 2021 is coming to an end, the current fourth season would be the final season of the competition for this year. Take your chance to earn our grand prize for the last season.
As always, moomoo would like to continuously provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate your investment technique, strategy, and portfolio management in our monthly competition. You are more than welcome to communicate your investment experience during the competition with others and ever further in future investment on moomoo.
With given virtual cash, traders can build out the portfolio they always dreamed of, all experience levels investors were welcomed and top performers will be rewarded final prizes. Now let’s take a look at how did our leading participants perform in the previous week.
Market Recap
The $Dow Jones Industrial Average(.DJI.US)$ rose to a record Friday and notched a third consecutive week of gains.
Stocks have risen in recent days after strong earnings results from some of the biggest U.S. corporations. Most S&P 500 companies that have reported earnings have beat analysts' expectations, and corporate profits are expected to jump around 35% in the latest quarter from the prior year, according to Refinitiv data.
Financial results from companies like $Tesla(TSLA.US)$ and $Johnson & Johnson(JNJ.US)$ throughout the week showed that corporate executives have been able to insulate themselves from the global supply-chain crisis and deliver strong results. Some companies have been passing down higher prices to customers.
Stock of The Week
Donald Trump is back in town with his new social platform Truth, which has inspired several related stocks to skyrocket like meme stocks.  $Phunware(PHUN.US)$  and  $Digital World Acquisition Corp(DWAC.US)$  were the two most trending duos among them. The share price of PHUN has skyrocketed from less than $1 to $24.04.
According to the USA Today article, Phunware announced a partnership with American Made Media Consultants for "the development, launch and ongoing management of the Trump-Pence 2020 Reelection Campaign’s mobile application portfolio for Apple iOS and Google Android smartphones."

Our winner dkhang has successfully surpassed the rest with a total P/L of 48.49%. He is a typical day-trader whobuys and subsequently sells stocks within the same trading day. Over the past week, he has captured several trending stocks with strong momentum, including DWAC, PHUN, PTLO, and BBIG. He has invested stocks in different sectors evenly over the entire season, including Communication service, consumer cyclical, healthcare, and technology. He has the greatest odds to win the final prize so far, although his win rate of 40% might require him to put even more effort into stocks selection.

User steavyG came in second with a total return of 44.9%. This user has a similar investment strategy as the prior participant dkhang. He has performed outstandingly during the past several weeks. Although his return is 2% less than the current first-place leader, his win rate is 20% higher comparingly. His chance of winning is still out there.

User 102152711 achieved third place in the second week with a 36.98% of total P/L. The user has seized a decent return from the rally of CCXI earlier in the fourth season. The share price of this company has rallied over 100% in one week. This user has been holding some Alibaba since the beginning of the month. Alibaba has rebounded after Charlie Munger disclose he bought more shares of Alibaba.

Bread512 has finished his week strong with a 38.14% of total P/L as our fourth-place winner. This participant has a clear stock selection strategy as he allocates 99.9% of total capital with 33 transactions. The participant investedmostof his total capital inthreestocks: SENS, CCXI, and Ocugen. SenseonicsHoldings generate the most revenue so far. Ocugen has performed outstandingly over the past two weeks after itannounced that it has submitted an Investigational New Drug application (IND) with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to evaluate the COVID-19 vaccine candidate, BBV152, known as COVAXIN™ outside the United States.

User 102318077, the fifth-place winner placed a good bet in his stock selection that helps him obtain a 35.55% return. He’s only inches away from joining the top 3 winners. He has also benefited from the surge of ChemoCentryx. Another leading position in his portfolio is Endo International (ENDP), anIrish-domiciled generics and specialty branded pharmaceutical company. Shares of Endo International plc ENDP surged 32.86% after the company announced that it has settled opioid cases in the New York State in exchange for a total payment of $50 million.
