Just because positive factors have been fully accounted for doesn’t equate to negative factors taking over; the stock could simply stay flat, especially since the earnings report exceeded expectations. A 2% compression in profit leading to a 20% drop in stock price is utterly absurd—would a 10% drop in profit mean the stock price would go to zero? The sharp decline in stock price and minor flaws in the earnings report are completely unrelated, there’s no need to overanalyze or read too much into it.
