1. Vehicle margins are finally improving
- Q1 gross margin rose to ~7.6% (vs. 4.9% a year ago).
- New models like ET9, Onvo L90, and Firefly are higher-margin and cheaper to build.
- They target 20% vehicle margin by Q4 — if they sustain higher production and control discounts, this is achievable.
2. Delivery volumes are trending up
- H1 2025: ~114,000 units delivered (+30% YoY).

Consider decent as usually first two weeks very slow. Hopefully after L90 launch, total deliveries can go to min 30k.
China EV registrations in week 27: Nio 2,500, Xiaomi 4,890, Tesla 5,010, BYD 55,570

Hopefully L90 can sell good next week. It seems more people buying L60 now, at least gradual improvement from Q1, and now can see the daily swaps at 90k per day which means more Nio and Onvo cars on ths road.
Xiaomi YU7 i feel maybe will have some issues and some customers will regret their choice and switch out, just FOMO previously due to the hype. Customers should choose a quality and safe car like Nio or Onvo.

$NIO Inc (NIO.US)$ After the ET9 launch and the facelift of the older models already released, NiO main brand has no catalyst left in 2025. Their monthly sale is declining YOY for the past few months, with June selling only around 15 cars from the main brand. It seems like NiO has already hit saturation in the premium segment, and there isnt any growth opportunities left. I am not sure how management is going to achieve 25-30 per month deliveries for NiO.

it seems still short of approx 3k to 4k deliveries to hit minimum target of Q2 72000, not sure 1st and 30th June deliveries both day can near to 3k to 4k.

$NIO Inc (NIO.US)$ YU7 has killed ONVO L90 even before its launch. The future of EV will be a competition between BYD and Xiaomi. It's really surprising how Xiaomi has streamrolled 11 years of NiO's R&D and product development in just two years.

74216494 : NO. L60 selling well below target, which was about 20k/month already in March. And L60 requires about 20k-30k/month just to break even. Thus, creating losses every month. Firefly adding to these losses, considering the low sales volume. NIOs main brand selling less and less cars, which means, dropping profits here. Swap is given for free, as incentive for sales. Costing money, only.
