[AU Market Closure Notice] Stock Markets will be closed on Thursday, 25 April, for ANZAC Day
Remember, our job as investors is pretty simple – protect our investment capital from short-term destruction so we can play the long-term investment game. Here are our thoughts on this.
    • Capital preservation is always the primary objective. If you lose your capital, you are out of the game.
    • Seek a rate of return sufficient to keep pace with the inflation rate. Don’t focus on beating the market.
•Keep expectations based on realistic objectives.  (The market does not compound at 8%, 6% or 4%)

The world economy is set to surpass $100 trillion for the first time in 2022, two years earlier than previously forecast, according to the Centre for Economics and Business Research.
Global gross domestic product will be lifted by the continued recovery from the pandemic, although if inflation persists it may be hard for policy makers to avoid tipping their economies back into recession, the London-based think tank said.
“The important issue for the 2020s is how the world economies cope with inflation,” said Douglas McWilliams, the CEBR’s deputy chairman. “We hope that a relatively modest adjustment to the tiller will bring the non-transitory elements under control. If not, then the world will need to brace itself for a recession in 2023 or 2024.”
The forecast is in line with estimates of the International Monetary Fund, which also predicts global GDP measured in dollars and in current prices will pass $100 trillion in 2022.

As traders return from the holiday-shortened week, the price action heading into the new year will be closely monitored — especially given the relatively light economic data and earnings calendar for the coming days.
The S&P 500  $S&P 500 Index(.SPX.US)$ is entering the period known for ushering in the so-called Santa Claus Rally, or seasonally strong timeframe for stocks at the end of each year.
According to data from LPL Financial, the Santa Claus Rally period encapsulates the seven days most likely to be higher in any given year. Since 1950, the Santa Claus Rally period has produced a positive return for the S&P 500 78.9% of the time, with an average return of 1.33%.

$Lucid Group(LCID.US)$ Lucid is unable to mass produce.
Rawlinson is already preparing the excuses for "explaining" by next Summer that he won't meet his goals of 20K next year.
I'll be very surprised if he gets 10K out.
Right now all his cars are built by hand at a probable cost of (at least) 250 K and he sells them for 179 . Fantastic business model, right ? Straight to bankruptcy ! And he currently produces about 10 per day !
Mark my words : you'll see by next Summer !

$Palantir(PLTR.US)$ When it comes to the technology sector, investors had better avoid the popular ovehyped large-cap stocks with the weak balance sheets such as Palantir and focus on undiscovered small-cap stocks.
For instance, undiscovered $BOS Better Online Solutions(BOSC.US)$ has pristine balance sheet (net cash position), profitability and trades only 0.5 times its annual revenue, as shown below:
BOSC's Eyal Cohen stated: "While we still have significant business challenges to solve in the Robotic division, I am encouraged by the continuing improvement in our financial results. Regarding the year 2021 outlook, we reiterate our expectation for revenues over $33 million and a net profit of above $1 million".
