Tesla is down 69% YTD. Although this is a number that Elon musk normally finds funny, I think, in this case, he might make an exception.
In my opinion, there are 5 reasons that led to the collapse of the share price.
Reason #1: Elon Musk acquired Twitter - leading to him having less time available for Tesla
Although Elon Musk is involved in many companies other than Tesla (SpaceX, The boring company, Neuralink), there is no doubt that Twitter is the on...

$NIO Inc(NIO.US$ could be profitable today with only delivering 10k vehicles per month. But they are spending 3 billion RMB on R&D per quarter. Now this market would love NIO if it was even slightly profitable like $Li Auto(LI.US$ auto is. Where would they be in 2025 if they don’t spend on R&D?

Elon Musk Says He Will Resign as Twitter C.E.O. When He Finds Successor

On Monday, Tesla’s stock price closed down 0.24% to $149.87. Although it did not fall much, after the news that 57.5% of netizens agreed that Musk stepped down as CEO of Twitter, the stock rose nearly 5% before the market. The close of $149.87 was already below levels last seen on Oct. 15, 2020, the first time it fell below $150 in more than two years.

Literally all stocks i have on my (qqq/tech) watchlist had a huge (5x - 30x as usual) volume spike end of day on friday.
See aapl, amzn, meta, googl, tsla, wbd, pypl, amd and so on.
Obv it has to do with rebalancing indices or sth. But why last friday. And why such a huge amount? I checked last december same timeframe and there were no such spikes. Just want to learn sth.
One further question: how can they accumulate pr sell THAT much stocks in 10 min...

This is the reason why the stock is down 'only' 60%, not 90% like many highfliers. Offsets Twitter drama by miles.
Despite all the skeptics making fun of its valuation, $TSLA is an earnings growth story plain and simple.
