What do you think of Chevron’s (CVX) acquisition of Hess ?

I have some Chevron shares in my portfolio, and I think that this is an interesting move from the company. I understand why the value of the stock has dropped the past few days because of cash threats, debt, share dilution, and so on from the acquisition.
