$SIME(4197.MY$ just announced that they plan to buy 62% stake in $UMW(4588.MY$ from PNB at RM5.00 per share.
This means that UMW will no longer be listed after the transaction goes through.
This confirmed the news report that The Edge reported 2 weeks ago.
UMW assets are tip top:
- 51% ownership in Toyota Malaysia's dealership
- 38% ownership in Perodua Malaysia
- Aerospace segment is Tier 1 ...
