• digimonX : The China bans are 2 hit pieces published to tank AMD's stock price. AMD gets abt 15% of its revenue from China. The impact fr China govt ban is a fraction of that (govt buys less of AMD). The 2nd hit piece abt China telecom companies phasing out "foreign processors", a bro shared some stats last week that AMD's sales to these companies was abt 2.4% of total (purchased by the telecom companies), again very negligible. I was convinced this was a hit piece because Wall Street Journal singled out AMD & Intel as "foreign processors". If they have done their job properly, they would have mentioned companies like Broadcom, Qualcomm, Marvell, Samsung, Nokia, etc.
  I have seen many hit pieces published against AMD in the past, some are recycled news that get repeated every now & then, some related to vulnerabilities of its products e.g. spectre & meltdown if u have been invested long enough, etc. There have always been short term hit to the price but over the long haul, price moves according to company's performance.
  The current most worrying thing is the military conflict in the middle east. This causes downward pressure on stocks (except defense stocks) in the near term. Let's all hope it does not escalate further into World War 3. Nobody will benefit. If the situation stabilises, then stocks can resume their normal paths. Again, my advise is to take a longer term investment horizon. Nobody knows what will exactly happen next.

When I see something e.g. news/updates, I know what I m doing/saying/responding. In fact, I think all serious investors should do this. I don't know why this is hilarious to u.

• digimonX SpyderCallOP: Hey man, thanks a lot for the detailed analysis. I have to admit I m not familiar with tech analysis but write up with enormous wealth of knowledge & info like this is where I spend hrs reading & trying to understand to just be a more knowledgeable person.
  I saw some YouTube videos lately that post-halving were met with price falls, as much as 40% before price went bananas. I was going to check with u if u were aware of such pattern. You answered in the 2nd para before me asking... Lol.

• digimonX SpyderCallOP: I will read this write-up multiple times over the next few days & identify the support price levels. I intend to DCA over a period of time at the lower price bands that u have illustrated above. This will allow me to keep some funds to capture any substantial drop, if it happens.
  As mentioned before, I m a long term investor. I spend a lot of time reading & researching companies/asset classes that I m curious abt. Unlike what u mentioned in the last para, I do put a lot of eggs in 1 basket once I m convinced (after spending hundreds of hrs reading/researching).
  Again, thanks so much for this. Pls keep sharing/posting, as always.

I have another $100k or so ready to be allocated in this asset class. So, I will time the purchases at the lower range of price estimations, if u don't mind sharing what u see in your charts.

• digimonX : Hey, I have been a long time investor of AMD & have been thru this type of slump more times than anyone can imagine. I hope u have bought the shares using $ that u don't immediately need to spend. If so, just put this aside till end of the year. AMD's earnings are expected to be good in H2 2024. So, price should be much higher by year end, aided by the Santa Claus rally. Just for ref, AMD's price level was quite bad in Sep & Oct last year, $80 - $90+. The year end & new year rallies more than doubled its price. So, things can chg pretty quickly. Like some of the guys above said, just need to be patient.
  BTW, I posted an article yesterday pointing to a youtube clip where Michael Saylor talked abt wealth accummulation by investing long term. It is a 13 min clip. Have a listen to that. If u have done ur homework on AI, then u should feel comfortable holding AMD over the longer term.

• digimonX Bill AOP: I hope u are right abt MI300 sales jacking up Q1 earnings but realistically, my expectations are quite low for Q1 & Q2 earnings being able to provide the uplift in its stock price. Lisa Su said client & gaming segments will see recovery only in H2 2024. So, it will take tons of MI300 sales to make up the numbers in Q1 & Q2.
  I think the better strategy is just park the shares aside till year end. It should be higher than now. Good luck!

To give u the benefit of doubt, I take it 31 Mar. It is alr 10 Apr today, both r still above ur stated prices. You have been wrong all the way fr 15 Feb till now. Don't forget AMD ran all the way up to over $220 when u were calling $150. Wrong for nearly 2 mths & now feel so proud.
