OPEC+: where is the tighening?
The truth is in exports:
- OPEC 10 exports 118kbpd more crude, condensate & petroleum products in Nov vs Jan 2023;
- OPEC 14 exports 714kbpd more in Nov vs Jan;
- Non-OPEC+ members exports 432kbpd less in Nov vs Jan but only bc Russian diesel has been held back for its local market temporarily;
- OPEC+ exports 284kbpd more in Nov vs Jan;
There is no tighening despite KSA's voluntary production cut of 1,513kbpd (but only a 281kbpd export cut Nov vs Jan). What would...

Does a "soft landing" actually happening basically mean everything is staying expensive? The "new normal"
Everyone talking about this....and as far as cuts/hikes it doesn't seem like a pipe dream anymore.
So im no economist but I gather a soft landing pretty much means we are avoiding a recession/mass unemployment/defaults. So if that happens....doesnt that also mean that we are gonna keep paying what we are currently paying for things? Shit never goes on sale any more either, so are we basically...

What do you think of Chevron’s (CVX) acquisition of Hess (HES)?
I have some $Chevron(CVX.US$ shares in my portfolio, and I think that this is an interesting move from the company. I understand why the value of the stock has dropped the past few days because of cash threats, debt, share dilution, and so on from the acquisition. In the press release, they list off solid reasons of this acquisition alongside with a future dividend increase and more share repurchases. I want to hear others' opinions...

Time to buy BAC?
Everyone knows about its unrealized losses but there will never be a bank run or liquidity crunch. Dividend yield is approaching 4%. It just had good earnings and is trading around 52w low. No need to mention Buffett. It looks too oversold but day after day people keep selling it.
One problem I have is with its management. Moynihan has been nothing but a huge disappointment judging by its stock performance (relative to other banks). Not sure why shareholders haven’t revolted yet....
