$Alibaba(BABA.US)$ imbalance from 6th Dec filled after it hit 115 yesterday. Should have rebounded intraday after filling. To stay objective, you should cut loss today if it doesn't rebound up as the sell off was with bigger vol. But as it is near to bottom bband and we know it was also due to US sell off sentiment flowing over to China,  I still see the NDX still has a imbalance to fill till 15760, I will hold till Wednesday and see if the China cutting interest rate will improve China sentiment today.
Baba is also now near the bottom of the bband squeeze. So a bounce up is likely from here. But if it doesn't, I will take a small loss here and wait for the next leg when it retest 108 or even 95.

Won't know when regulatory issue is resolved but atleast China is not eager to delist China stock from US Market and willing to work with US on it.

Currently, there is a lot of fear, uncertainty and doubt over the series of current and potential regulatory actions in China. Undoubtedly this presents a buying opportunity as many Chinese stocks are at a historically steep discount but until the situation clears up which can take a few years, I think it is risky for value investors to open positions in Chinese stocks. The fallout from the Evergrande saga is another threat on the horizon. Short term traders and options traders should be able to find opportunities to make profits regardless.

Asia stocks set to drop amid policy, omicron risks
Asian stocks looked set to fall Tuesday as economic risks from the omicron virus strain and central bank efforts to rein in elevated inflation breed caution. Treasuries and the dollar climbed.

Nike buys a virtual sneaker maker

The sportswear giant agreed to buy RTFKT, a business founded in 2020 that creates digital products like sneakers and uses blockchain technology to ensure authenticity, according to a statement on Monday.
Bitcoin slide risks break below a key level
Bitcoin's slide from a record high extended into a on Monday. The largest cryptocurrency fell below $48,000 and is now flirting with a breach of its closely-watched 200-day moving average, at about $46,720.
"The idea that as it matured, the volatility would ease has not really materialized," said Marc Chandler, chief market strategist at Bannockburn Global Forex. "The volatility is deadly and its other supposed attributes, like a hedge against inflation, seems spurious."
Apple now lets you choose contacts who can access your account when you die
Until now, it's been very difficult for loved ones to access an Apple account of a family member or friend who died. Without the phone's passcode or iCloud information, surviving family members sometimes had to for access to a deceased loved one's digital data.
$Apple(AAPL.US)$ released a big iPhone update on Monday, iOS 15.2, which includes a new feature called Digital Legacy. The change will let you choose specific people who will be able to access your account after you die.
Elon Musk says dogecoin is better to buy things with than bitcoin
Elon Musk, CEO of $Tesla(TSLA.US)$ and SpaceX, has consistently supported dogecoin, a meme-inspired cryptocurrency. He's invested in it, along with bitcoin and ether, he said in October. Musk sees dogecoin as the best cryptocurrency to transact with.
"Fundamentally, bitcoin is not a good substitute for transactional currency," Musk told Time Magazine after being named Time's 2021 Person of the Year. "Even though it was created as a silly joke, dogecoin is better suited for transactions."
Shareholders press Facebook for governance changes
Facebook is facing more calls from shareholders to address harm on its platforms and overall governance as the company, now known as $Meta Platforms(FB.US)$ responds to pressure from lawmakers and others.
The resolutions filed by the shareholders include calls for board oversight of efforts to reduce harmful content, an assessment of the risk of the company's metaverse efforts and a review of the social media company's audit and risk committee, according to the Investor Alliance for Human Rights, an initiative of the faith-based investor group Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility.
SoftBank poised to complete first Spac deal with AI robotics company Symbotic
$Softbank Holdings(BK2558.US)$ is set to complete its first Spac merger by taking public a Walmart-backed artificial intelligence robotics company in a deal valued at $5.5bn. Symbotic, an AI start-up that focuses on improving supply chains for retailers, will merge with SVF Investment Corp 3, a Spac sponsored by SoftBank, the two companies said on Monday.
The blank-cheque merger is the first of its kind for SoftBank, which has raised multiple Spacs and has been hunting for suitable private companies to take public.

$Netflix(NFLX.US)$ cannot handle a streaming slowdown. They need to diversify their business model if they want to be relevant for decades just as Disney is. $Disney(DIS.US)$ Comcast and HBO Max would survive. In general, I see Netflix, Disney becoming the top 2 with HBO in third. there is still room for Peacock and Paramount+ but mergers might happen regardless. $Apple(AAPL.US)$ TV and $Amazon(AMZN.US)$ both don't really count since they are just pieces of their walled garden.

Should you price by value, growth or cycle? The penetration rate of e-commerce B2C in China is already very high, and the industry lacks growth. Income and profit may fluctuate together with macro data. It may be appropriate investment opportunity when BABA's P/E ratio reaches hundreds or negative, but BABA is the most promising one for e-commerce stocks. Maybe pairing trading BABA and PDD is a good strategy, but the volatility of BABA and PDD is too high and the leverage of pairing trading is too low. Maybe customizing the Asian option BABA and PDD spread is more operable.

Having said that, institutional investors are not infallible. They have made their share of costly mistakes because they too cannot predict the future (the regulation in China against the private education sector was a prime example $New Oriental(EDU.US)$ which caught institutional funds like Temasek Holdings by surprise).
Most importantly, the structuring of one’s investment portfolio should be guided by one’s investment objective, financial needs, time horizon of investment and risk profile which would not match those of institutional investors. What is a suitable investment for the fund may not be suitable for oneself due to differences in the depth of the pocket and exposure to risks, among others.
In addition, the information from 13F may be too late for retail investors to leverage on as the price may have changed since the trades. It also does not tell us the whole story; for instance, institutional funds may take up long positions as a hedge against short positions.
While we all desire our investments to fly to the moon, the positions of star institutions should be used with care; it should be one of many things to consider as part of our research rather than something to be followed blindly.
