$EVERGRANDE(03333.HK$ Can anyone explain why Evergrande hasn't defaulted yet?As far as I understand they have already missed bond payments. I always assumed that inability to pay bond coupons or inability to buy back on due date automatically initiates the default procedure. So company should either pay for bonds or declare bankruptcy, no other options.
Am I wrong? At what point is the default going to happen if they keep missing payment deadlines?
