I will particularly look at whether loan growth has remained stable and whether non-performing loans (NPLs) have increased significantly. If asset quality stays healthy and provisions don't suddenly rise, profitability should not be too bad.
Moreover, CIMB’s regional business is relatively diversified, and the performance in ASEAN markets will also affect overall results, which makes this aspect worth watching.
Personally, I predict that after this earnings report comes out, the stock price will likely remain stable with a slight upward bias, and there doesn’t seem to be any significant negative catalysts. Unless provisions increase sharply, downside potential is limited.
In the long term, I still consider CIMB as a relatively stable bank stock supported by dividends and regional growth.

To be honest, the key metrics for banks now are NIM and loan growth. Banks did well in the previous high-interest-rate environment, but if the market starts talking about rate cuts, it’s worth watching whether the NIM will gradually be squeezed.
I'll also check if loans continue to grow steadily, especially corporate loans. If loan growth is present and non-performing loans don’t show significant deterioration, then overall, it’s a healthy situation.
Provisions are also critical. If there is no significant increase in provisions, profitability should remain stable.
My prediction is that after this earnings report comes out, the share price will likely rise slightly or at least stabilize, and there doesn’t seem to be any obvious negative catalysts.
In the long term, I still view it as a dividend-paying bank stock that you can hold steadily.
