Old fuel only ships have higher operating cost (LNG is much cheaper than fuel oil) and IMO and MARPOL are adding limits to air pollution. Old rental ships are sending back to ship owners (not us, typically some fixed income funds). This rental way has one drawback: rent is than owning ships (like renting over buying home) . When other companies have zero profit, ZIM will run with loss.
