$YTLPOWR(6742.MY$ Buying this ticker at 4.52 a pop is to me filling more hot air to a baloon which has sound fundamentals but not the numbers to match. Joining a buying frenzy albeit developing solid business of power generation, renewable energy, data center and Ai foot hold among others.
EPS is only 0.25 with a growth trajectory hitting 0.50 in few years. ROE is now only turning up at 12.93%, many years in the sub single digits.
Chase the share price with the crowd, but I prefer to see some track record. Banyak billion-billion back-and-forth but habuk for the shareholder for now. BTW if you chance upon SimplyWall.st analysis on YTLP, they are projecting a fair value of RM20+ a share based on their cash flow analysis. So I am not saying the numbers do not add up, just that for now the price has shot ahead of real values and will need time to reflect true potential.
