Hopes for a "Santa Claus rally" continue to build, and positive signals from the bond market and recent softer U.S. consumer price data reinforce expectations of potential Fed rate cuts in 2026, which generally supports equity markets.
Monday's session saw all major U.S. indices close higher, driven by tech stocks. Current U.S. stock futures remain steady, suggesting a positive opening and continued upward trajectory for the day.
My investment strategy for the NASDAQ Composite today is a Bullish stance, aligning with the current positive market sentiment and technical analysis suggesting further upward potential.
I am looking to enter a long position in the Nasdaq 100 via a related ETF, such as the ONEQ Fidelity NASDAQ Composite. The entry point is near the opening price of approximately 23,450.53 points, as reported from Monday's trading, expecting the upward trend to continue.
To manage potential risks from any unexpected volatility or profit-taking during the holiday week, I have set a stop-loss order just below the day's low from Monday at approximately 23,360.00.
The price target is set for an exit around 23,550.00, anticipating a moderate daily gain in line with recent performance and general market sentiment.
