Yes, they both are ADAS level 2 based on the official regulatory classification. Both have very little intervention over a a long period of driving time to indicate how good the driver assist is.

There is one difference between Xpeng XNGP and Tesla FSD.

Xpeng has moved on from relying on the HD map onto large model that is map less. Hence, XNGP is available in 243 cities within China, and theoretically, any cities on Earth.

Tesla is just now starting with HD map in China. It will try to catch up to XNGP towards map less once it can gather enough data. HD map only covers ~134 major China cities by Baidu.

How many road constructions can spring up in moments notice? Updating the HD map requires more task than the large model that can simply react to it locally. I have seen video that in some construction situation, XNGP required human intervention, so not 100%, just to be fully transparent.
