WolfOnZodiacStreet : it seems like margin hikes are only a temporary option and that there is a limit to the amount of margin hikes that can be done, additionally phsyical silver continues to climb in value in worldwide markets, at this point I could make enough money on arbitrage to open a business buying American silver and selling silver to Japan and China. Surely, that means people are already doing it with funds set aside, even one luggage bag full of silver would make me enough money to continue doing so, as a full time business. There is no logical conclusion to this scenario besides paper prices raising to meet phsyical prices.

MemoriesInSlowMotion 74737942 : They didnt hike rates in 2020. the last 2 times was 1980 hunt brothers incident and 2011 when silver surged to ATH of $50. they hiked 5 times in both instances, however the context was different. There wasn't real demand in both cases unlike today where we have had a deficit of silver supply in the past 5 years
