Why should Aussies invest in Nasdaq stocks?
Moomoo's Market Strategist @Jessica Amir recently shared her insights on Australian investing habits & why diversifying your portfolio to include US shares could help you in the long run.
While moomoo traders tend to prefer to invest in US stocks, this differs to the average Aussie population.
Jess says that, “according to the 2023 ASX investor study most Aussies invest here in Australia and only 16% have exposure to direct shares in the US."
If you are on the fence about investing in overseas markets, specifically Nasdaq listed stocks, she touched on three reasons why you should make the leap:
1. Access to the biggest and fastest growing companies in the world
2. Invest in innovative companies supported by product demand and investment
3. Trade the world’s biggest tech stocks. which tend to get big institutional backing
Additionally, if you are on the hunt for a new Nasdaq ETF to add to your portfolio, she recommends the following 4:
$Invesco QQQ Trust(QQQ.US$: The QQQ is designed to track to the share price performance of the Nasdaq 100 Index, which is made up of 100 of the largest non-financial companies listed on the Nasdaq.
